Veterans Day Parade
Start the day with a bang during the Veterans Day Parade. Now in its 105th year, the parade celebrates pride, patriotism and unity while honoring the nation's heroes. The parade will feature marching bands, military units and veterans organizations. Watch as 5th Avenue becomes a flood of red, white and blue in honor of those who served.
Big SNOW at American Dream Mall
Although no snow has fallen yet, veterans can still hit the slopes this holiday. Big SNOW indoor skiing at American Dream Mall in New Jersey will offer veterans free access to the slopes on November 11. To enjoy the slopes, all you have to do is send an email to info@bigsnowad.com with proof of service and receive a promotional code for a free entrance ticket to the slopes.
September 11 Memorial Museum
Each November, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum recognizes our nation's veterans through Salute to Service, which honors those who served in the military, as well as the families and communities that support them. Active and retired veterans receive free admission to the museum all year long. Active and retired military personnel receive free admission to the museum all year round. This year the Salute to Service will take place from November 9 to Sunday, November 13.
American Natural History Museum
What better way to celebrate Veterans Day than visiting American History. Veterans and their families receive a discount from Armed Forces Day (the third Saturday in May) through Labor Day. During the remainder of the year, members of the military and one guest receive free general admission.
Fearless Museum
Visit the Intrepid Museum for their annual Veterans Day ceremony. The event will feature the ship being decorated with red, white and blue flowers, with comments and a memorial wreath laid on the Hudson River. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed live on Facebook and is open to the public.
The Jewish Museum offers free admission to veterans and active duty military personnel on Veterans Day. They are also allowed to bring up to five family members, with proof of identity. The museum also gives special thanks to veterans on social media.
Carnegie Hall
This year, Carnegie Hall is hosting a free one Veterans Day Concert on Sunday, November 10 at 3 p.m. The concert will feature an 11-piece brass ensemble performing music by American composers. Held in the Hamilton Auditorium and open to the public, the concert captures the last 11 months of World War II. Active military and first responders can also receive a 30 percent discount with proof of identification at the cash register.
Museum of Modern Art
Enjoy the latest exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art this Veterans Day weekend. MoMA offers active U.S. military members one free admission for themselves and up to five additional tickets for family members with valid ID. Free admission is also available to military families with dependent cards.
Lifetime freedom pass
With a Lifetime Liberty Pass, New York veterans and their families have discounted access to state parks, historic sites and recreational facilities. The pass never expires and can be used to visit some of New York's largest green spaces, including Jones Beach State Park, Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park and more.
Top One Vanderbilt
Veterans can enjoy incredible 360 views at Summit One Vanderbilt this Veterans Day. The observation deck offers free admission to veterans and active duty military members on Veterans Day. They also offer a 25% discount for up to four military family guests. To access the discount, veterans can message staff via their contact form and select “Military” as the reason for inquiry. Tickets include access to immersive art and access to food and cocktails.
Top of the Rock
If Summit One is too crowded, head to Top of the Rock at Rockefeller for similar views. This observation deck offers a 50% discount on admission for veterans and active duty military members on Veterans Day.

On Veterans Day, the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo in New York City are offering free admission or discounts to veterans and active military personnel.
The Bronx Zoo: Offers 50% off admission for up to three guests. To receive the discount, use promo code MILITARYBZ at checkout for active personnel and VETERANBZ for veterans. The military member must present valid identification upon entry.
