Now let’s take a look at some safe and useful tips that are perfect for any family and that you can use at the beach all summer long!
Kids pools aren’t just for the garden!
Unless you arrive super early, chances are slim you’ll get one of those precious few spots right on the shore where your kids can splash around while you stay close by. In this TikTok hack, Krystal Mayo shares the perfect way to keep a toddler cool in the summer heat while keeping them close and, as she puts it, “contained and entertained for hours.” All you have to do is bring a kiddie pool, fill it with air, and use the toys you probably already have on hand to fill the pool with beach water for your toddler. This will give them a little personal beach area to stay cool, enjoy the sand, stay close to the family, and play all day long. | watch the video

Keep the sand away
This viral beach trick is one that many moms are trying this year, and we understand why. We’d do anything to avoid bringing the entire beach home with us. All you need to create a sand-free zone at the beach this summer is a fitted sheet, beach bags or coolers, and a bucket to fill with water. LaurenTikTok mom and content creator shares her hack using a product, but she explains that you can do this hack with things you already have. All you have to do is lay down your fitted sheet, place bags or coolers at each corner, and fill a bucket with water straight from the ocean, which you use to clean your feet before entering your sand-free zone. Is sand inevitable? Of course, but a sand-free zone makes your time at the beach a lot more comfortable for the whole family. | watch the video
Baby powder
Baby powder is another way to keep you and your kids from bringing sand home. Sprinkle baby powder on the areas where the sand is and it will come right off. Another great trick to prevent the mess is to put baby powder in a sock and rub it on your skin to get all the sand right off. | Watch the video.
Beach Activities You Should Definitely Try
If you’re a mom looking for a beach trick to take the kids to the beach, there are plenty of cheap and creative beach activities that everyone will enjoy.
Fidget crafts on TikTok shares how to make stress balls and a sand mermaid, and we think all of our little ones will love these activities. All you need to do to make the stress balls is fill an empty water bottle with sand and water. You use your water bottle as a funnel and start pouring it all into balloons; for an extra cool look, use clear balloons. Another great activity in the video is making a sand mermaid. Explore your surroundings with your kids, collect shells and anything else you think would be perfect for your mermaid, and bring your very own mermaid to life. | watch the video
Paint
This one is great for kids who love to paint. Take some non-toxic watercolors to the beach and create your own artwork right by the water. Megan of @kindnesskindergartenshares a great way to keep little ones busy at the beach. Start by collecting some shells from the beach and then paint away. This hack is fun, easy, and cheap, and kids can take home their own personalized beach day souvenirs. | watch the video
Bubbles
We all know how much kids love bubbles and want to see them everywhere, so we probably all pack some bubble wands for some fun playtime in the sand. But I’m sure we’ve all experienced a toddler who grabbed a bubble wand and nearly spilled the entire container or just got tired of holding a bubble wand for hours. Well, this easy trick is the best way to let your toddlers enjoy bubbles by your side without having to hold them all day. All you have to do is dig a hole in the sand and slide the bubble wand into place, and now you have a safe place for bubble time that prevents spills and keeps your toddlers happy. | watch the video
The best time to go
Chrissy Hortona content creator for moms, has convinced us that we’re doing beach days all wrong; we should really be doing beach nights. The benefits of going to the beach at night are unparalleled: hassle-free parking, no snacks or food, no need for umbrellas or tents, and no need for sunscreen (we still recommend bringing sunscreen), but overall it seems like the best way to have fun at the beach. She explains that going at night means there are fewer crowds, so parking is a breeze; you’ve probably already eaten so you don’t have to go out and get food, and if you make a habit of going at night, families don’t have to wait until the weekend to experience the cool ocean breeze because you’re going after work and best of all, kids get rid of a lot of energy right before bed. We might just have to try it this summer. | watch the video
The best beach organization trick
Last but not least is staying organized at the beach with a hanging toiletry bag. We loved this hack Lauren shared, which is perfect for keeping all of your beach essentials in one place. She explains that packing everything in hanging toiletry bags is great for those quick-access essentials and, best of all, keeps things sand-free, like diapers, swim diapers, and wipes. | watch the video
